Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove - My review

Here's my review from yesterday's show at the Oakland Arena...

This show was truely a great way to watch a Disney production! Its perfect for anyone at any age. Its amazing how quickly 2 hours flew by...just like Tinkerbell did...
During the show Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Pluto come out to introduce the beginning of the show as well as bit and pieces of the next production to come. At first the Incredibles made their appearance, my son asked where was the baby (Jack Jack), I just said "Babies dont ice skate" and chuckled. They tried to get the crowds warmed up by doing some exercises (which was sort of awkward, but some kids joined in). This was the only time during the show that there was a fall, it was quick and she (Helen) got up like nothing happened. She continued to skate after falling on her behind.

Here you will see Snow White, Tiana, Jasmine, Mulan, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella & Rapunzul as well as all the princes and a few extra characters for each themed show.
Although during yesterday's performance I only saw Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs, Alice, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Lion King and a quick performance of Princess & the Frog. The other few princesses all came out during the last few minutes of the show...along with their princes. I was hoping to see all of them acting out important key events that happened in each of their animated movies. But that would have made for a long show. I am not sure if they rotate who performs for each show per day.
The costumes were spectacular and the performers looked exactly as they would in their animated movies.

One of my favorite parts of the show was Alice and the Madhatter, the Queen of Hearts' Army of Cards marched as well as Jasmin & Aladdin's magic carpet ride.
It amazes me how they can ice skate in full costume, for example from The Lion King, Pumbaa came out, 4 skates. I was wondering how that person inside was doing it.

Bottom line, the show was fantastic, entertaining and kept me and my son smiling for hours. Go see it! Its affordable and you and your child(ren) will remember it for years to come.
Ok, yes the food and drinks at the event will be pricey as well as the trinkets and light up toys.

Tip: There are a ton of non-arena workers that do sell light up knickknacks on the way to the arena for much, much cheaper. Is up to you if you want to buy now or later...
